A new milestone in regional economic collaboration has been marked with the official launch of the Bangladesh–Pakistan FTA/PTA Strategic Research Initiative (BP-FSRI)—a forward-looking platform dedicated to exploring the feasibility, impact, and strategic framework of a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The initiative aims to bridge policy, research, and private sector engagement to unlock new trade opportunities, enhance bilateral economic ties, and contribute to sustainable growth across both nations.
As part of this landmark initiative, Mahamud Hasan has officially begun his journey as the Vice Chairman of BP-FSRI, bringing with him a dynamic background in business development, international trade strategy, and cross-border collaboration. His appointment reflects a strong commitment to driving impactful research and fostering meaningful economic partnerships.
Vision & Objectives
The BP-FSRI is designed to:
